AUS40 (Marine Urea Solution)
High-Concentration Urea Solution for Marine Diesel Engine SCR Systems
High-Concentration Marine Urea Solution
AUS40 (Aqueous Urea Solution 40%) is a high-concentration urea solution for SCR systems in marine diesel engines. It chemically decomposes nitrogen oxides (NOx) in exhaust gas, reducing them to nitrogen and water.
Unlike AdBlue for land vehicles (AUS32: 32.5% urea concentration), AUS40 has quality standards optimized for marine use. This 40% high-purity urea product maximizes the environmental performance of marine engines.
Patented Manufacturing Technology
Our proprietary method (patented) removes clogging causes to the utmost limit. High-quality design removes impurities including biuret, enabling long-term SCR system operation.

Why AUS40 is Optimal for Marine Use
Understanding the differences between AdBlue (AUS32) for land vehicles and AUS40 for marine use reveals the importance of urea solution optimized for marine environments.
Why Higher Freezing Point is Not a Problem for Marine Use
Temperature Management System
For cold climate routes and winter operations, urea water tanks are equipped with temperature management systems to maintain the recommended temperature (+5°C to +25°C).
Engine Proximity
SCR systems are installed inside or near the engine room, maintaining a warm environment due to engine heat.
Stable Marine Environment
At sea, temperatures are relatively stable and exposure to extreme cold is less common, reducing freezing risk.
Benefits of High-Concentration 40%
For the large amounts of NOx emitted by large marine diesel engines, 40% high-concentration urea solution responds more efficiently. Higher concentration delivers equivalent or better NOx reduction effects with less urea solution, contributing to optimization of tank capacity and refill frequency.
AUS40 Features
Optimized for Marine Use
Unlike AdBlue for land vehicles (AUS32), this product has quality standards optimized for SCR systems in marine diesel engines. High-purity product with 40% urea concentration.
High-Concentration 40% Urea Solution
Chemically decomposes nitrogen oxides (NOx) in exhaust gas, reducing them to nitrogen and water. Maximizes the environmental performance of marine engines.
Patented Manufacturing Technology
Our proprietary method (patented) removes clogging causes to the utmost limit. High-quality design removes impurities including biuret.
SCR System Mechanism
AUS40 neutralizes nitrogen oxides (NOx) contained in the exhaust gas of marine diesel engines into nitrogen (N2) and water using ammonia (NH3) generated from urea ((NH2)2CO) and water (H2O). This chemical reaction reduces the impact on the marine environment.
Chemical Reaction Formulas
| Urea Decomposition | (NH2)2CO + H2O = 2NH3 + CO2 |
| NOx Reduction | NOx + NH3 → N2 + H2O (Nitrogen and Water) |
| Final Products | Neutralized into nitrogen (N2) and water |
SDS (Safety Data Sheet)
About SDS
SDS (Safety Data Sheet) is a document that provides information on the safe handling of chemical substances. It contains important information such as the components of AUS40, hazard identification, handling and storage precautions, and first aid measures.
For proper handling and storage, please be sure to review the SDS before use.
